About College
Jharkhand College was established on 5th Sep 1985 by the fund raised from the contribution of social workers, eminent scholars and visionaries of Dumri, to provide higher education to the students of this remote area.
The college is constructed on 7 acres of lush green land which is surrounded by trees in the radius of 1 km, a pleasant and calm place untouched by pollution which provides a perfect atmosphere for studies.
It is in the outreach of 5 blocks Dumri, Topchanchi, Nawadih, Bagodar & Pirtand of Dhanbad, Bokaro & Giridih district.
The region is very backward as majority of population is unaware of education and its power to uplift humankind moreover the region holds most of the population from SC/ST/BC class.
